Hi Welcome to ECSE!
My name is Kari Doherty. I lived in Oregon for my whole life until my husband, our dog, Gus, and I moved to Austin three years ago. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Oregon State University, did two years of Post-Bacc work in Speech/Language and completed my Masters Degree in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education from Portland State University. I have been teaching in EI/ECSE for over sixteen years! My passion is working with children of all abilities because I love the unique set of skills that each individual child brings to our classroom environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my son (who is a true Texan), my husband, and our two dogs (we adopted Lennie here in ATX). I also really enjoy cooking and playing outdoor soccer.
